MY SHORT INTRO
Hello! This is Shahriar Tanvir Alam, a Ph.D. student in Daniel J. Epstein Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Southern California.
I completed my Master of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from University of Southern California and Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Production Engineering from Military Institute of Science and Technology. I was a faculty member (Lecturer) in the Department of Industrial and Production Engineering at the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), Mirpur Cantonment, Dhaka, Bangladesh. My research appears in the International Journal of Production Economics, Sustainable Production and Consumption, Supply Chain Forum: An International Journal, Results in Control and Optimization, Results in Engineering, and SN Applied Science. I served as a faculty advisor of the Industrial Engineering and Operations Management (IEOM) Society MIST Student Chapter. My research interests include Advanced Transportation Systems, Operations Research, and Combinatorial Optimization.
Currently, I am working as a Research Assistant at the University of Southern California.
